Dr. Daniel Bassuk, is
the founder and current President of the Association of Lincoln
Presenters (ALP).
For more than
twenty years, Dr. Bassuk has donned the look of Lincoln and presented
original stories about the 16th President of the United States to
interested audiences across the US. Inspiring people to learn more about
Mr. Lincoln and spending a better part of his stage time enticing school
children to read and study much like Lincoln himself. Recent
presentations include guest speaking at Rutger's University, addressing
the Lincoln Group of New York, the Civil War Round Tables and other
historical societies.
Dr. Bassuk's
characterization has earned him numerous awards and honors including
"Best Lincoln in America in 1993", he is also listed in the Who's Who in
America among other accolades.
Dr. Bassuk's
interest in Lincoln not only gave him incentive to perform as Lincoln
but in researching the President he has collected a well renowned
personal library with over 800 Lincoln books and 100 videos. Bassuk has
authored several books including "Abraham Lincoln and the Quakers", and
"Abraham Lincoln in Trenton, New Jersey".
From the inception
of Association of Lincoln Presenters in 1990, Dr. Bassuk has dedicated
himself and his organization to linking America's Lincolns and assisting
other "Lincolns" to enhance their portrayals.
Dr. Daniel Bassukl is a Life Member of the Association of
