Background:Michael
Krebs has portrayed President Lincoln for a variety of occasions
in numerous venues. He currently works in the Voices from History
Program at the Chicago Historical Society, portraying President
Lincoln. Prior to that he had performed for Chicago Historical Society
in the highly successful exhibits "The Last Best Hope of Earth: Abraham
Lincoln and the Promise of America." and "The American Presidency: A
Glorious Burden." He takes great pride with Debra Ann Miller in taking
Meeting the Lincolns to schools throughout the Midwest. He has
produced Visiting The Lincolns extensively including New Salem
Historic Site, Hoover Presidential Library, Gerald Ford Museum, Harold
Washington Library and an extended run in Chicago. He is a regular
participant with The History Channel, Chicago's Department of Tourism,
and Library of Congress. As guest speaker at Carl Sandburg College, he
was part of President Clinton's address there in January of 1995.
Prior, he portrayed candidate Lincoln in the C-Span live broadcast
re-enactment of the Lincoln-Douglas Debate held at Knox College. Like
Mr. Lincoln, he stands 6'4" without his boots
