Background:
Chris Small, M.A., first appeared as Abraham Lincoln in 1997 and
joined the Association of Lincoln Presenters in 2000. Serving as a
Seventh-day Adventist Pastor for almost six years, Chris is uniquely
suited not only to give Lincoln Presentations to many organizations, but
also to present a variety of programs for churches. Chris recently
served as an adjunct lecturer at Concordia (Ann Arbor) and Eastern
Michigan Universities, with teaching specialties in Communication
(Interpretation Performance Study) and Religion. The Lincoln Project was
born in 2003 and includes the following new initiatives: (1) The Lincoln
Project is currently teaming with COGfilm to explore a production based
within the life of Abraham Lincoln. (2) The Lincoln Project uses
ethnographic methodologies to study and document Lincoln Presentation.
From this work has grown an original script entitled Addressing
Gettysburg and an April 2005 presentation at the Central States
Communication Association Conference entitled Performance Development:
Living Historiography from Scratch.
