Steve and Sharon Wood

Repertoire:  "Abraham and Mary Lincoln : The Long and the Short of It" is a theatrical presentation set in the White House in 1861(for student or family audiences) or after Lincoln's assassination (for adult audiences) performed by Sharon and Steve Wood.
Distinctly different paths led Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd to Springfield, Illinois, where they met, married and began a family. The years that followed their move to the White House were filled with personal and national crises. The Lincolns tell stories of their early lives and the challenges they faced during this turbulent time in our country's history.
Schedule: Available year round
 Background:

Steve and Sharon Wood have been researching and portraying the Lincolns at schools, libraries, historical societies and community events since 1995. Steve offers solo programs as Abraham Lincoln, but Sharon limits her portrayal of Mary Todd Lincoln to these joint programs.
Sharon also offers multicultural storytelling and several other 19th century living history progams. Details can be found on the website listed above.
